Tungsten Carbide Grade Development Program.
- 1995 - Al-Met recognize limited choices of material for severe service applications. “Partnership in Trim” project begins to develop corrosion resistant grades.
- 1997 - DC(Z)05 Grade launched - World’s first Stainless grade specifically designed for Oil & Gas market.
- Continuous development, working and listening to our customers needs, has driven us to improve toughness without losing stainless properties.
- 2002 - Next generation AM12 launched. - New benchmark for high performance material, maintains Al-Met / Sandvik partnership as world leaders in material development for the Oil & Gas Industry. Erosion testing by Statoil & SINTEF shows the excellent Erosion and Corrosion properties of AM12 enabling it to be the ideal choice for severe sub-sea applications.
